Solid surface shower pan in curbless shower?

I asked my GC to do a curbless shower in our son's bathroom. GC chipped away at the original concrete slab to create a sloped-to-center shower floor, and did whatever else to prep (he's a Schluter System disciple), and the hot mopper came in last week and did the hot mopping. Is it too late now to switch to a solid surface pan instead of a tiled shower floor?

Our son is suddenly (finally) into keeping his bathroom clean (hooray) and he read solid surface is easier to keep clean than tile/grout. This is one request I'd like to grant! The shower is roughly 3'x4'. Thanks for input!
