I would take my cue from what you do at the desk. For example, if you do a hobby there, then use the shelves for materials storage. You can find all kinds of inexpensive and useful storage boxes and trays that would look good. If you have room after you've accommodated your storage needs, display some things that have some meaning for you....photos, collections, or whatever it is you like to look at.

Yes! Seeing this model makes me think that the ceiling should not be white, but either the pink or a lighter shade. I couldn't tell if you were incredulous about my colors, but I have eclectic tastes and furnishings. ;) My other choice was SW Dishy Coral and Alexandrite, but I went bolder.

I would swing the study door out into the hallway instead of inward, which will get in the way of the closet doors. I have a little desk area inside a closet in my bedroom and I love it. It keeps me convenient to the action in the house and I can shut the doors when I'm not using the space. Eventually, I'll take over our oldest son's bedroom once he's officially out of the house but this works for the time being.

Thanks. The built in is espresso stain and the French doors are also espresso stain. Foyer is espresso stained door with our staircase with espresso stain. The white molding is throughout the home and the doors all have the white trim; we have the white plantation shutters through out the as well. I am starting to think keep espresso stains…
