Comments (17)Lgmd, you will be happy to know those plants thrive on a bit of neglect and actually grow fairly slowly. So it’s the perfect house plant for people like us who don’t want to fuss with a lot of care. I can and so grow a lot of things outside, but these are my favorite indoor plant and all I have with the exception of one small jade plant. Comments (20)Cindy, from the internet: The main symbol of Opatija is the"Girl with a Seagull" statue. The statue was erected in 1956 by the sculptor Zvonko Tsara and is an example of modern culture. It is located on the seashore. There is a legend that seagulls are the souls of sailors who did not return from the sea. And in the city of Opatija there is a seagull who is"in love" with the sculpture. They say that a couple in love lived on the coast for a long time. The young sailor went to sea and never returned. Beloved throughout her life was waiting for him, and every day she went to the seashore. Seeing such love, it was decided to erect a monument - a sculpture of a young woman with a seagull in her hands. After some time, a seagull began to circle over the monument.
