Strange beans from saved seed

I saved some seed from southern peas that weren't really southern, they were Italian, I think. Someone here sent me the seeds originally, The name was Risina del Transiorfino cowpea. Anyway, I saved seeds and planted them and they are finally blooming -- in 3 different colors -- white, purple, and yellow. I had originally planted some Contender beans there, but they did nothing, so I pulled them up. I'm not altogether sure some of the plants aren't unsprouted seeds from that planting. It will be interesting to see what I get.

So this is what happens when you save hybrid seeds and plant them. You never know what you're going to get. To top it all off, somehow a pigeon pea got mixed into the bunch and now I have one of those coming up too.

As my beloved grandmother used to say, ain't nature grand?
