Need help with furniture layout and what to buy!
Comments (1)So I would look at doing a seating area that is angled toward the fireplace. This will free up space in the corner for storage or another seating area, etc. I would do Roman shades or blinds instead of the long drapery panels. I also would not overlay a rug especially if you do the angled arrangement. It will make to room feel chopped up. Also consider a large diameter but low profile flush mounted drum shade light instead of something that hangs down. Try it with your existing furniture. I don’t have all the necessary dimensions to see if it will work in real life!...See Morestarting from scratch. Need help with furniture layout!
Comments (1)No loveseat. 3-seat sofa and 2 armchairs. You might put the piano on the pony wall at the stairwell if he is keeping it. Can you replace the vertical blinds with nicer window treatments? Think about a patterned rug that is wider than the sofa....See MoreNeed help with furniture layout!
Comments (4)One option might be to bring the love seat over to the sofa to make an L. Option 2 might be to move the love seat to side with the slider again an L and move the chair to the area now occupied by the love seat. The art over the sofa is too high but I would move it over the FP and clear off the mantle. If the art stays over the mantle it needs to be lowered. About 5" above mantle. The white cabinet is too high and too deep for the TV and because it is white it distracts from the FP. You have a lot of small items that need to be culled...See MoreNeed help with furniture layout for Kitchen/Dining/Living space
Comments (5)I can see the door system working in the long term! Good suggestion.. however, i’m more or less looking for furniture layout solution as I’m not able to swing architectural changes right now. Floating sofa looks fantastic! Thanks everyone...See MoreMichelle Kelly
