Basement bathroom exhaust fan droplets and A/C

Hi,

i have a basement bathroom with shower light and exhaust fan on the same switch. I had a family member staying over and she took a shower one day. She of course ran the light/fan. The next day she went to take a shower so turned on the light / fan then sat on the toilet when water started dripping on her. The fan is right above. The fan works and exhausts outside just fine.

I got some video of the drips and pics of the water in the cover which I removed.

I had had all A/C vents closed including the one in the bathroom as it‘s pretty cool down there.

Also it had rained, but the venting runs immediately out the back of the house, horizontal around 20 feet. Lots of insulation. So I couldn’t see how it could be from that.

Looking for the cause of the drips. Closed A/C vent? Too little cold air return? Other?

Thanks!
