Flooret Modin Luxury Vinyl Planks - Idyllwild
Comments (18)My subfloor is slab on grade. The original flooring throughout the entire house was VCT 8"x8" squares which we had carpeted over years ago. I just removed the carpet and pad, did some minimal patching to smooth out the areas where the tile was damaged, and installed the Modin directly on the tile. The Flooret installation sheet says no underlayment is necessary and since our home is 55 years old with no moisture problems, I didn't think it necessary to use a moisture barrier. The planks are about 1/4" thick so they will hide minor imperfections but it IS vinyl so it will show some through. The fact that the surface is not glossy helps to minimize any unevenness....See MorePictures of Flooret Modin Arbor floors
Comments (40)@DK F we love the flooring, we have the color Arbor and feel it is pretty uniform in color. There isn’t too much color variation. I also really like the wire brush effect on Arbor because it hides dirt and scratches. we have had some scratches already. We noticed it doesn’t like hard plastic being moved across it. So if you have any furniture pieces with hard plastic bottom put felt pads on. Our cats have also scratchd the floor in a couple spots chasing and turning corners fast with their claws but it’s not even noticeable. The pattern is tricky, it isn’t the same location in every board but in some boxes we did get a lot of the similar pattern so we had to take all the planks and label them (1, 2, 3, 4) with painters tape and that helped when we installed to keep it mixed. no issues with the bevels or separating. We have it through our entire 1400 sq for home without any transitions for a year now. one thing we did have an issue with is when we first installed for the first couple months it made a crackling sound when you walked on it in places. That has since gone away, we aren’t sure why. I think just settling? Other people on here have had this issue too, and not just with Flooret with other brands of rigid core LVP. Also make sure your subfloor is very flat. We have a couple spots where it wasn’t so flat and you can tell when you step on those spots as it feels a little bouncy. This is typical of any floating floor though....See MoreFlooret LVP in Arbor, Brenwick or Kingswood? OR CorTEC Harrison Oak
Comments (740)@greenhearted Z5a IL Thank you! It is a tough decision!! I like the floor a lot, but it’s not infallible! I don’t particularly like the grooves, if Flooret had a non-groove option I would have chosen that! Contrary to what people say, stuff does get caught and accumulate in the grooves!! The dark color does show stuff. I don’t know what to say about that. I just didn’t like kingswood, but I would have preferred a slightly more medium brown over brenwick. Other shades were too gray or too light for me. Overall I am quite happy with it. I like the large planks a lot. Workers coming in have been impressed with it...even thinking it’s real sometimes and wanting to know the brand. Truthfully, I’ve had to take care of my dad the last few years in another state and I haven’t been there living in it with day to day use. Only been there once in while for a few days. Kinda crazy. That’s why I disappeared off this thread for a while. So it’s a little bit hard for me to give a thorough review, but I hope this helps...Good luck!!...See MoreFlooret Modin vs Coretec
Comments (7)Awesome! I don't know anything about the Coretec product, but i'm sold on any SOC product. Flooret wasps very high contender when we were picking our floors. You have to go with what is in your budget, and what you are comfortable with. If you want a product, find an installer who will install it. Flooret will help you with this....See MoreJinan Lee
