Hanstone Quartz counter top
Comments (2)There's an ever-growing list of manufacturers of quartz manufactured stone around the world. From virtually nothing a decade ago, manufactured/engineered quartz counters have grown to a $5 billion plus business. Many of them use the same patented process for manufacture and the only differences vendors who carry several brands have mentioned to me are "which look suits you." Some of the brands available in North America are Cambria, Cosentino Silestone, Caesarstone, Dupont Zodiaq, Hanwha Surfaces, LGViatera, Samsung Radianz, SMDS Diamastone, Stone Italiana, Okite, Technistone, Legacy and Avanza. Comments (49)We've only had our Cambria quartz counter top for about 1 month and I LOVE it!! I did want more of a shine but find it is not very shiney at all : ( But is sounds like more prefer the less shinier type. Around here the popular ones are Oxford, Nottingham and Victoria from what the dealer told me. I like them too and thought that one of those would be my choice but ended up choosing the new Cranbrook Quarry series just because it went better with the cabinets. Preston and Brownhill were also very nice. I was able to take the small 4"x4" sample home for a few days to decide. I can barely see the seem and love how it cleans. Haven't put anything REALLY hot on it, like a slow cooker, and probably won't just because I'm scared to LOL. Here are some pics.......total cost $5700 (install & tax)...See MoreAnyone familar with PentalQuartz counter tops?
Comments (3)I have them. They are from a company called Vicostone and Pental just puts their name on it. Pental is originally a granite company out of Seattle and Portland but they've expanded into other markets in the last three years. Their quartz used to be called Chroma but they changed it to Pentalquartz when they expanded. It's made in Vietnam with Breton technology, so they are the same as Cambria, Silestone, Caesarstone, etc....See MoreSpectrum Quartz counter tops
Comments (149)We ended up going with Pristine, and it's absolutely beautiful. It's been a year, and it looks brand new, no stains or issues. I love it even more than expected. My husband is thrilled and the whole room looks elevated. We used BM Simply White for the cabinets and SuperCore oak natural for the floors. Check my profile for pics in progress (old floors, tho). We've chosen Satori venatino marble subway tiles for the backslash and all these whites are compatible-- no issues with warm/cool undertones fighting. I'll be sealing the marble on all 6 sizes via a dunk in 511 sealer. Can't wait to see it finished-- the marble could've been risky against a marble-look quartz, but it looks absolutely perfect and gorgeous together....See MoreStephen Byrd
