Vicostone, Caesarstone or MetroQuartz brand for new quartz countertop?

We have finally decided a solid white quartz countertop would look the best in our new kitchen! Woohoo! Spent many weeks looking at white colors and brands in showrooms and at the fabricator. Narrowed it down to Vicostone "Pure White", Caesarstone "Pure White" and MetroQuartz "Absolute White". Each color is very similar and look great! I am familiar with Silestone brand, as I have had them in the past, but the 3 "White Zeus" samples seemed to fluctuate in white tone, crazy!...And beautiful "Iconic White' was a tad too white for our gloss white cabinets and expensive!! I have samples of the 3 brands in question, and I am currently subjecting them to merlot wine, blueberries and olive oil, etc., to see how they handle it. So far all are testing fine. So, from the experts on Houzz or homeowners, that possibly have these a countertop from these manufactures? Which one is better and I can trust??

My GC uses Vicostone as well - would like to hear feedback on it.

Well stir-fry SE mICH, I ended up choosing the Vicostone in Pure White. I am waiting on approving the template this week. Was only $3 a sq. ft. cheaper than Silestone White Zeus, but every bit helps.

We've only had our Cambria quartz counter top for about 1 month and I LOVE it!! I did want more of a shine but find it is not very shiney at all : ( But is sounds like more prefer the less shinier type. Around here the popular ones are Oxford, Nottingham and Victoria from what the dealer told me. I like them too and thought that one of those would be my choice but ended up choosing the new Cranbrook Quarry series just because it went better with the cabinets. Preston and Brownhill were also very nice. I was able to take the small 4"x4" sample home for a few days to decide. I can barely see the seem and love how it cleans. Haven't put anything REALLY hot on it, like a slow cooker, and probably won't just because I'm scared to LOL. Here are some pics.......total cost $5700 (install & tax)

You do not need to stack two 2cm slabs on top of each other to make it look like you are using 4cm thick slabs. You only need a small amount of extra material (1-2Ã¢ÂÂ inches depending on edge type) to beef up just the outside edges of the counters. Laminated or mitered edges are very common here in So. Cal., where most stone and quartz is sold in 2cm size, rather than 3cm. The fabricator will put a 5/8Ã¢ÂÂ thick plywood subtop that is a little narrower than the finished counter size on top of the cabinet. Then the 2cm slab counter is put on top of the plywood. A narrow strip of the quartz is attached just at the edge of the counter to hide the edge of the plywood and make the whole counter look thicker. For standard 24Ã¢ÂÂ deep cabinets, the finished counter width with overhang is typically 25.5.Ã¢ÂÂ I donÃ¢ÂÂt know what brand of quartz you plan to buy, but Caesarstone slabs are 56.5Ã¢ÂÂ wide, Hanstone is 55Ã¢ÂÂ wide, Silestone is 54Ã¢ÂÂ, Cambria is 55.Ã¢ÂÂ (Some brands sell wider Ã¢ÂÂjumboÃ¢ÂÂ slabs if you have deeper counters.) Assuming a 55Ã¢ÂÂ wide slab, two 25.5Ã¢ÂÂ deep counters will use up 51Ã¢ÂÂ (plus a small amount of loss in the cutting process), leaving the few inches you need for the edge strips. You should need the same number of slabs whether you use 2cm or 3cm material. The thinner material will cost less, which should offset the increased labor cost for the laminated or mitered edge. We have polished Organic White countertops. We also get subtle metal marks that won't come out. These counters are just a few months old. No one else would notice it, but I certainly do. I would recommend getting a sample of the quartz you are considering and testing it yourself. Maybe we're just unlucky? Although, the number of websites that say "quartz doesn't stain" seem to be equalled by the number of websites that say "here's how to get stains out of your quartz". We haven't tried Magic Eraser and it is somewhat discouraged since it is abrasive, but we may try that next.

Thanks for all your suggestions. I think I am also leaning to towards the theory that they are scruff marks from pots or an appliance (the Vitamix was stored in that area briefly). I love bar keepers friend. However, since the countertop is so new and shiny I don't want to experiment with it too much and risk dulling it or damaging it in any way. I already tried Soft Scrub Liquid Gel with Bleach + elbow grease which is the manufacturer recommendation, and it did not help. Granted I did not let the cleaner soak for over 2 minutes. I contacted the fabricator and am waiting to hear back from them. Let me check with them about CeramaBryte and Greased Lightning cleaner.

I would also be interested in hearing how they are holding up.

I have pure white quartz from Vicostone. They show marks from foil, pans, silverware ......basically everything that touches them. Thankfully bar keepers friend and a lot of scrubbing will remove the mark. However - the shine is now mottled or spotty. Looks like some areas are dusty and need buffing. Drives me crazy that there isn't a smooth and consistent shine. I am so very careful with them and have never used harsh chemicals. I have watered down the bar keepers friend so it won't be abrasive. My huge center island gets so much light and it bothers me that it isn't beautiful like it should be. Solid white isn't a good choice in my opinion. (or stay away from Vicostone)

Well, I ended up choosing Cambria brand quartz, because the Vicostone slab that came to the fabricators was not going to be large enough for one side of the galley kitchen. That side was going to have a extension for bar stools. Cambria slabs are slightly larger, so I was able to keep at least 10" over hang with stools, open to the family room. I have the color Dovedale. Love them!!! Everything cleans off and they look great!

Yes, still love my Cambria quartz in Dovedale. Here's a picture before faucet and backsplash went in and painting of walls. We kept the old fridge since it works good. Stainless counter depth for next new one.

is the silestone white zeus 'supposed to be' a pure white solid color? a designer just spec'd it but would prefer to use a brand/supplier we already know like caesarstone,, is it similar to pure white from caesarstone?
