Anyone using passive solar to heat your shed?
Comments (7)I bought some solar lights, mostly the cheap kind, some at the dollar store. Used them in the back yard in the garden area to show the VHS tape gently moving with the wind (and hopefully keeping the deer away from my tomatoes). The battery store had replacement batteries at $1.50, but the whole light was only a buck to start with! Rust or corrosion made the light worthless at six to eighteen months. I like the idea of having a half dozen lights that can be moved into the house during a power outage. One ice storm the power was out for five days. Leave the solar light outside to charge during the day and bring it inside after sundown....See Moresolar lights with solar panel in Florida
Comments (3)you can consider using 12V LED lightbulbs or 12V florescent light bulbs. 12V LED light bulb would not be as bright as 12V florescent bulbs, but take much less power. you can power it with a 12v battery and have some panels charge the battery. im also thinking of doing that....See MoreSolar Nails anyone?
Comments (7)I had the solor nails done in pink and white for a few months, then finally gave up on them. I have very strong and good nails naturally that grow very fast. The reason I wanted the solar nails, was because it lasted much longer than getting my natural nails painted. BUT! The main reason I quit doing it, was because my nails grew so quick and I had a hard time texting on my blackberry. I liked mine short as possible also, which is hard for the manicurist to do. So, now I just go au naturelle most of the time. Polish just does not stay on my nails! Also, I couldn't pick itty bitty things up very well. I did, however, try the Shalack (sp?) the other day. That is where they put, I guess, shalack? over your natural nails and it is suppose to last about a month. It lasted about 2 weeks on me, and it is pretty expensive to go every 2 weeks to get it re-done. About $35.00. I don't know if it was the girl who put it on or not, but, mine didn't last. Loved the colors though! But, I won't have it done again....See MoreRicoRock 4'ft ledger (similar) anyone? Solar/ FO lighting?
Comments (1)I would run solar low voltage in a heart beat before putting in the fiber optic ( nice but expensive). If you can put in fiber optic you can add any type of lighting you want, especially the low voltage. There are tons of really nice low voltage options and several of them are not expensive at all....See Moreschoolhouse_gwagain
