So hard to come up with a pic of CT that represents it well...but this one comes close...some industry and commerce, some fields, some hills, lots of trees and rocks and some water...

The last time I was in CT was 30 years ago when we stopped in Groton and Mystic on our way home from Nova Scotia.

So instead here are the entries from the 3rd round of bread baking competition. My DDIL wants to learn how to make bread and suggested we make the same recipe and then get together to sample. Our loaves usually taste the same but DH has mastered the art of a good crust. The two that are sliced were both Emeril recipes.

I wish I could find the Moon Flower in my area. Seeds and plants of a Moon Flower vine are plentiful, but I like those in Moni's pic. Years ago I grew some and they looked so prehistoric! huge and spreading out. Also they seed down quite a bit if I remember. The neighbor actually gave me a plant probably 10yrs. ago, I was surprised to see it, unfortunately it didn't survive.

I had a great time watching my Jimsonweed last night. I don’t know if it’s the same as moonflower. Lots of dive bombing going on.

Schoolhouse, I have more of the seeds, Lisa gave me. I planted about 10 or so, and got two plants.

Been looking for a before picture.. but don't seem to have one.

I can tell you this, if you cut the stem with the spent flower off the next afternoon (after blooming) it won't make a seed pod, and it will increase the flower production.

We can hear several different woodpeckers in the woods behind our house but they rarely come to the feeder.

The adult one seemed to get tired of feeding the juvenile. He/she started pecking at the junvie, who kept leaning back and pulling his head back. It was funny,
