I haven’t used it but on their site it seems to do well with gray so all your furniture should work with it too since you had gray walls before.On my monitor it seems to have a bit of yellow undertone so for sure test drive in your space before going ahead. Please make sure all your lighting is LED in 4000K range to eliminate any yellow cast from the lighting.

Thanks so much for your thoughts! Classic Gray isn't very "gray" but I did love it in that prior house. On the bulbs, while I'm happy to not have the yellow cast, does the 4000K read too cool (blue) or is it more neutral? I need whatever won't jack up my paint color hah.

4000 is very bright/cool. The perfect white paint (IMO) is Benjamin Moore's Chantilly Lace. Works with warm or cool colours, although it is not considered "cool" at all. It's just a perfect white.

4000K mimics bright sunlight and Is always the color my clients prefer it is just a nice bright color not yellow and not blue.

Would love to hear if you used and liked Steam. I have a swatch of it and agree it seems like White Dove only less yellow, which could be a great color.

I just painted a large family room with Steam and it's lovely. It does have very slight undertones of gray and yellow, which is perfect. When I walk into the room, it's an airy white that isn't too bright and won't feel dingy in a few years. I had a dozen or so large swatches of other "white" colors taped up on the walls and comparing them was really the only way I could identify the undertones.

I’m thinking of painting my walls STEAM. its hard to really determine understones in my space, How do you think it will go with a gray carpet?
