Rental bedroom help
Comments (5)I’ll try to get better photos. i know it sounds strange, but my son has special needs & the small windows are actually a bonus for keeping him safe. We will have a fire safety plan in place . Thanks for the concern!...See MoreI am decorating a vacation rental bedroom
Comments (19)it is and sorry for not having it made up as it would have looked lots better. I am not happy with the color but due to some health issues it had to wait. I seen an idea about something behind the area where the lamps are that draws your eye up . They used mirrors but what about something else? Or do you think with different lamps with shades will make a better impact as I have to clean clean clean so dont want too many things that isn't able to be wiped down....See MoreInsufficient AC and too much light - small rental apartment bedroom
Comments (5)Buy an eye/sleep mask. I’m serious. I get claustrophobic when all the windows are covered up by shades/blinds and I also like the ventilation of an open window. I am an extremely light sleeper. I run an air purifier next to my bed for white noise and I wear an eye mask to block out the light. It doesn’t take long to get used to the feeling of it on your face. Worth a try....See MoreChanges in Rental Bedroom
Comments (17)Well, the ambivalence is mutual. I chose that size and font because I wanted it to look more a part of the bed than the wall. I'll probably move it down another few inches, in fact. I'm not a wall signs person; in fact, I usually hate them, for the same reason I dislike big decorative clocks on the wall. They look like something you picked up at Home Goods because you needed a thing that size for that wall. I liked the idea of the neon words because neon is very cool at the moment and has caught my eye. These metal words are about 3mm in depth so not very thick but not a flimsy punched metal either. They are beautiful by themselves, off the wall, just to hold in your hands, finished very, very nicely. If I don't use these I won't have anything above the bed, because a 3 ft by 6 ft brightly colored Renoir painting as heavy outdoor museum banner will be hanging opposite it. I can't think of a single piece of "art"---not a vintage travel poster of France, not a set of prints, not an abstract painting, that would be suitable in this context. I am still lusting after the neon, I guess. This is a short term rental, it is meant to be trendy, to be a little HGTV-like---fun, unusual and of the moment It won't be anyone's home, just a a half year stay. The purpose is completely different from a home and different from a second /vacation home also....See Moretartanmeup
