Lgmd your butterfly reminds me of what my DD told me today. DGD found a monarch on the sidewalk that a bird had tried to eat or whatever. It had a broken wing and they thought it was dead. They brought it in the house and it was still alive. They know it won't live. I don't know what they are doing with it now.

Kathsgrdn the volcano was ACTIVELY spewing lava and flowing!! THE WORLD KNEW IT. For what the airplane/car rental/hotel cost to hop over to the big island to see the lava, then hop to a third island for the bulk of our stay, we should have booked one of the MANY helicopter flights for tourists from Oahu that would have resulted in awesome pictures and satisfying my want. Lesson learned--even when booking through a travel agent ya gotta do a lot of the leg work yourself!!!
