I adore Poulsens PInk and Poulsens Yellow, they both grow to be gracefully though upright plants of c. 4' tall here, near San Francisco. If I lived in a cold climate where I could not grow China roses I would grow these two, the butterfly affect of the Poulsens Yellow reminds me of Yellow Mutabilis, but the light green leaves of Poulsens Yellow are more attractive. Of all the Poly and Florrie roses in the garden we get most re-bloom after November from the Lafayette and Pink Lafeyette roses. for a small space, hortico.com has the best clone of 'Little White Pet' I've ever seen and they ship to the u.s.. I also have that soil acidifier. It has elemental sulfur which is slowly converted to sulfuric acid via soil bacteria. I think if you have a soiless potting mix it may take a very long to time to be effective and may get washed out. If you have soil in your container I think it will be more effective. Elemental sulfur does take a while to get going but it offers long lived pH change. If you want something faster use dilute vinegar. You could also use iron sulfate, or aluminum sulfate, or dilute phosphoric acid. All of these are used in soil to decrease pH. Honestly you could likely put dilute amounts of any acid in the soil to reduce the pH. Be careful though you can also hurt your plants by adding too much acid or salts. The yellowing looks like water stress (too much water) though just my opinion. ~Mick

Two things I learned after living with the pepto bismol and "aquarium" bedrooms in my old house. Check under the carpet, you may have a great wood floor under there. You can paint a wood floor, grey is a great color to paint it, easy fix. My advice to you is RIP OUT THE CARPET NOW, while it is easy and you still can! I "worked around" a teal carpet in my master bedroom, and regretted it every single day. Carpet in one room isn't going to set you back that much. You deserve to have a master bedroom you love and that speaks to you, not an accommodation to someone else. Oh, and blue highlights pink, so you need lots of brown and yellow and tan and red to tone down the pink. Think of that carpet as very, very light red if you keep it. But don't keep it. Rip out the carpet. Just do it!
