Could be, looks like it. Why is it called twin flower?

I live 5 minutes from ONP & I can't recall ever seeing that wildflower. What part of the park were you in ?

The flowers are paired. Also if you look closely at the leaves you will see Notches at the tips. These are another identifier. It's an extremely Charming plant. Lucky you!

Good thing that you knew what that was vapor I had absolutely no clue I don't think I've ever seen them

Maybe it is twin flower if the flowers are well above the foliage. The bearberry flowers are down in the foliage. The twin flower in Alaska was less lush, but who wouldn't be compared to that in the PNW.

7 difficult to see in that picture which is why I could mainly focus on the leaves which are distinctive. I can't blow it up that big on my computer either. I'll take a look at bearberry in a minute.

Smithdale, it was on the road to hurricane Ridge. We were coming down from the top, stopped to check out a small view point Tr, and that’s where I saw the flower.

Vaporvac, your description was spot on.

Since it appears to be thriving in the park, it cut obviously can take cold weather and more snow than is usually common in Oregon and Washington. At least in the western part of t state.

I wish I could Grow these flowers but I think they need acidic soil.

I had twin flower growing in a native stand of trees at previous residence. Until I had seen this post, I had forgotten about this super cute little plant that I've never again have come across, well I think I have to keep my eyes better peeled for it!
