I'd use a coral or darker coral, even rusty color. Funny because I'm helping someone right who has painted her new kitchen/family room addition in Gray Wisp and finds the room too cold and is looking for ways to warm it up too. We are starting by looking at area rugs that are primarily warmer colors (reds, rusts, oranges) but that have a small amount of the blue. Depending on your bedroom style, I could envision an old or vintage-looking oriental rug with a lot of dark red and just a touch of light blue. Of course you didn't ask about rugs but you could do the same with bedding!

I would also suggest orange, but with a easier-to-hear name like Coral. ;-) I am thinking of a deep, earthy kind of orange, leaning toward red with a touch of brown. Here's a link for coral (literally) and blue together. Here is a link that might be useful: coral & blue

I used a tone-on-tone yellow for the sofa and window treatments. My living room is small and has a piano. But I got bolder with the orange chairs (I originally thought they were more coral in color). I wouldn't mind cream chairs with nice pillows, actually--I would probably do that next but with this dog of mine and her wanting to look out the windows, we'll keep the current a little longer. I've rearranged the top of the secretary and added a tray with the orange colors, took off the overbearing greenery. Phone is gone, and I am inspired by reno-fan to lighten up the back of the secretary. I do want a different rug, something larger, but I like the touch of black with the pale yellow. Enough of my rambling, just wanted you to see the black and coral(?) accents.

You should choose your colors based upon what you want to live with year-round, and not concern yourself with seasonal decorating. I think blues and greens would be pretty, or perhaps purples and greens. I even like a terra cotta / rust color with those shades.
