What accent color to go with BM Nimbus Grey
Comments (3)Dark Purple goes with it. I did my bathroom with pale pink towels and accessories. I imagine a bright orange would work nicely (search for pipdog's living room and see the orange with gray/blue). And of course, yellow works well with gray as well. As I noticed when our house was empty, the gray walls without any other color and decor in the room really did look "challenging". I have to keep telling myself this when I see my new house after it's painted--I picked Smoke Embers, the chip below Nimbus. Nimbus is gorgeous, and I like I said, I used it in my previous home in several places. Also white, it looks great with white. And dark brown. And black. And check your lightbulbs down there in the basement. They could be throwing things off for you....See MoreWhat color blue to go with BM Tyler Taupe
Comments (4)We used Lenox Tan on the walls in this northwest bedroom with Shaker Beige on the ceiling and I have to say it sucks every ounce of light out of the room and is very dark. The flash on the camera brightens the look a lot over what it is in real life. We used Tyler Taupe on the ceiling in our study and we used Pearl Harbor on the walls. It too is a very dark color, but it works in this space as the room feels tall and narrow with the vaulted ceiling and the dark color helps bring the height back into proportion....See MoreVan Deusen Blue
Comments (8)Well, this is your lucky day! My DD's bedroom is painted Van Deusen Blue. We love it. Even painted the ceilings. My builder thought I was crazy, but it looks great. I have no pics of the room with furniture because it is so messy all the time. But, there is an off-white sofa in there, a white marble topped coffee table, a few black accent pieces, white shaded lamps and white/green bedding. All the trim is bright white. The window faces east and she has two south-facing skylights, so the room is bright during the day. At night, it is cozy yet moody and brooding...just right for a teenager! :-)...See MoreBenjamin Moore Van Courtland Blue - Coordinating colors?
Comments (60)Bruton White would pair beautifully with your flooring. It is very close in Value to Gray Owl but contains less innate greenness, moving it further back into the Yellow Hue Family where it sits at 95.33° in comparison to Gray Owl’s location of 107° on our Color Wheel. As always, it still needs testing with a large chip or moveable sample in your space. In balanced light it will appear as a bright, greyed ‘knocked-back‘ member of the Yellow Hue Family. It may show a suggestion of green in certain light, due to its location and in some spaces possibly even hint blue, but certainly not in every setting. And it will be less inclined to either of those moods in comparison to Gray Owl, which sits much closer to the Yellow-Green Hue Family. Bruton White has a point more Chroma than Gray Owl which makes it that bit less gray too. So I think it would be a great choice with your flooring but I can’t comment on how it might pair with the cabinetry as I don’t recall seeing those, sorry. 🤔...See MoreUser
