Two floors in kitchen & drop down / built in dining table from island

Hi, we are renovating our kitchen and have a design dilemma with the flooring and expansion of the kitchen island. Here is some context:

1. We redid the floors for hte hardwood when we first moved in (the dark ebony in the pics)

2. We are redesigning the cabinets in a white shaker style

3. We would like to make the island more functional with drawers AND seating facing the sliding doors/view

4. The dilemma is that if we were to change the layout and expand the island, it would cross over into the hard wood floors. We've heard that we shouldn't extend the hardwood floor because 1) we will never get the color stain to match and 2) the hardwood floor doesn't work well with radiant heat (and my husband really wants radiant heat in the kitchen)

5. Some have told us that the dining table extension from the island (see example pics) could be slightly different so that it matches the hardwood and the tile.

Any thoughts on how we could make this kitchen remodel work? Another option is to keep the table but no table would fit if we were to turn it the other way to face the view.

Happy to elaborate more!
