transitional style kitchenette dining table ideas needed
Our home decor is transitional style. We inherited these lovely walnut chairs. My husband is leaning toward modern table styles. We have young children that are hard on furniture so no veneer wood will work. We both like pedestal bases but my tall husband is concern with any base that will block feet. and legs under the table. We are also working with multiple wood tones and beige walls. Ideas for compromise would be greatly appreciated.

I will look for someone to create leaves with an apron. I never have it without at least one leaf in it anyway. Comments (9)I have about that size dining room with walkways on all sides. In my previous house, I had a 48" square dining table that I used when we moved in. I bought a 48" round table, it was amazing the difference it made. There are only 3 of us so I just keep 3 chairs around the table on a daily basis. You could do a drop leaf. I am not sure it you could find one in a style that would go with your house. I have 2 drop leafs that I use around the house and bring out when I need more tables for company but they are both Duncan Phyfe antiques. Another option would be a round with a leaf or two that expands for family. You'll be amazed how a round fits the space better. For what its worth, we did the same...had a long and narrow kitchen, and a long and narrow living room, fireplace on the shared wall between. 4 years agoHouzz is like a photo / library to me. Their table repeats wall tone. You could repeat something in the room, cause you said you have a few already. Espresso idk though cause so dark....

4 years agoWe don't know much - whether rug is planned, etc.... but this is called Stone [like your floor's look?] and too large... to show also that you could chalk paint your chairs / washed. Overall: 78 - 110"W x 39.5"D x 29.5"H
