7 years agoLike it's appearance, but I just never 'got' the attraction to the scent of lavender.
I can do the color today, all snuggled up with a pretty yellow leaf that just happened to drop by.

Comments (24)Late again, but this just happened. My husband called me, because there is a snake on the shelf in the garage.i was supposed to move a bowl of breakable things. He stood there with a stick and said he is going to hit her on the head if she bites me. Mind you, he was about 7 feet away. This morning I had to move a turtle out of the dog fence. Comments (21)@dimac83....They seem to be naturally well formed. I turn it about once every two years, as it leans towards the window/sun. It loses leaves as it ages, exposing the thickened, trunk like stems. I had another BIG one...and I tried lifting it off it's perch....and it broke into about 10 small pieces....so i just stuck a few stems in the dirt...and started over. Fireweed is blooming. About 6 years ago a fire missed this housing development....Very near to me
7 years agoI have some lavender but it never seems to thrive under my care. Here is some that I bought from one of our vendors at the Farmers Market. I kept it on our table during the market day and then took it home and planted it. Of all the plants in that little plot only the lavender is still alive.

Lavender flowers on rosemary in back yard, same day.
Kevin mowed down the weed in the front yard even though I wanted to keep it.
