If you ask me the 'jungle look' is acheived by packing in as many plants as you can into a small area. The following picture was taken in my backyard last summer. The photo contains a clump of Musa Basjoo, Ensete Maurelli, 2 Canna tropicanna, Brugmansia, Dracena, and a bunch of dahlias. Around back a purple castor bean and Miscanthus giganteus. The grass in the back was measured at 11 feet tall. All these plants were grown in a circle measuring about 8 feet across. Pack 'em in! Here is a link that might be useful:

The pot is probably part of the issue - along with a need for a bit of root pruning, soil replacement, etc. But something many people don't think about as a light-hungry tropicals grows is that, if it's indoors, the closer it gets to the ceiling, the less light it's getting from windows. Unless you have a skylight overhead, your plant is probably drooping both because new growth is softer in low light, and because it's reaching downward where light from windows is strongest.
