Low E in North-Facing Windows??

We’re replacing all of the upstairs windows in our 30-year old house located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We run the air conditioner ~3/4 of the year due to the heat and humidity.
We’re about to order Andersen’s A-Series windows & have selected Low-E4 (i.e., 272) and SmartSun (i.e., 366) glass, depending on which way the windows face & the amount of shade from nearby trees.
We’re having second thoughts about the north-facing windows though. The room receives a small amount of direct light in the morning and then primarily filtered, indirect light throughout the day. The windows in question are the sole source of natural light in the room so it always appears pretty dark in there.
We know the energy advantages of Low E but we hate to diminish the little natural light we get in that room. Should we consider Low E-180 instead or is that just foolish in our climate?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
