Paint Building a Home Design Dilemma

Exterior color consultant in Omaha?

I've spent hours upon hours and more money than I care to admit on paint samples and I now hate gray with a passion. I just don't know what color will look best on my exterior with my stone.

I'd like to find a consultant that isn't tied to a certain paint company. I do not want to do this online as I just can't get pictures with the right lighting so it has to be someone local (Omaha) that can come out to look in person).

Hello everyone. I'm looking for a color consultant to assist me with 1) identifying the "right" colors for my home (meaning the hue, depth, intensity will evoke certain emotions) 2) ensure that they flow from one room to the next and 3) are current. I've worked with a few decorators but have not been satisfied with their knowledge of color. @Barbara Jacobs or @funcolors or @Amy Woolf or any of the pros on this group, might you be able to recommend someone? "Amazing thst no one understands the issue here." I'm not sure why you would come to that conclusion. You've gotten responses from at least 2 professional landscape designers who understand the situation completely. "You don't go to your dentist to get new glasses." Precisely why you do not want an interior designer who has no (or minimal) familiarity with outdoor hardscaping material choices or proper application and installation methods. They are not at all the same as what might be used on the inside. The exterior designer is the architect - if it pertains to the structure itself - or the landscape designer - if it pertains to landscape hardscaping or softscaping. Aesthetics is a matter of choosing the professional whose taste most closely aligns with yours. It is a highly subjective issue in which there is no defined right or wrong.

I would look for a color consultant. Click on the tab at the top of the page that says "Find Professionals" and type in "color consultant".

I think I can help you even without being near you. I can analyze color and determine it’s technical characteristics and make recommendations. My paint brand choices are wide and varied so that isn’t an issue. If interested in exploring further email me at manganflo@gmail.com

Yes, I had posted asking for advice but with just a sample of the stone and Lori had commented but not with a specific color, but I'll have to share pics of the house. I will try her. Her answers on paint questions boggle my mind. Should have done it in the first place instead of driving myself "gray-zy".
