Grohe 16' shower arm problem
Comments (5)I would suggest standing under a "pretend" rain shower head next to the wall. See how tight it feels against the wall. I can live with the 13 1/4" clearance I ended up with from the 16" arm. You will be standing stand directly under it....so it does feel different. Make sure you ask your plumber and tile installer how much of the 12" shower arm will extend out. Will you have controlls on that same wall? Allow extra space for them, or better yet move them out of your way. I have 2 controls on the wall with the rain shower. I off set them toward the door, but not enough. I was just concerned with easy reach, not the roominess under the shower head....See MoreJaclo shower mount / shower arm problem
Comments (0)I'm concidering buying the Jaclo 8023 to use with my Grohe Relaxa hand held shower. The shower handle is bulky and the area that needs to fit into the mount is 3" in circumfrence. Anyone with experience with this shower head and the Jaclo 8023? Also I would like to find a 10" shower arm. The one I have is to short and with the angle of the shower head, the water falls on my toes. I did find an 8" arm, but would really like a 10" arm. Anyone know who might have one that long? Thanks...See Moreshower arm, straight or angled
Comments (4)Don't remove it if the inspector hasn't checked the gauge. The new shower arm should be installed using Teflon tape on the threads. Use a washcloth to prevent tool marks on the finish of the arm. I prefer long shower arms (10") to give more room for the hose and more adjustment of where the head sprays....See MoreShower with no arm?
Comments (6)Unfortunately, I am not aware of hardware that allows you to mount some kind of arm on the wall. I think the best you can do is to buy a longer hose and use the existing bracket or a different one. You should be able to attach an arm between the hose end and your preferred shower head but getting it to stay in place may require using some wire. Since it's a rental, I suggest you simply go with the longer hose and hopefully the bracket will keep the existing showerhead secure. Sorry I don't have any better ideas....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
