Hey there, my ex and I picked out a chandelier that I think would work with your decor and also give you what you want in a sense of space/feeling with lighting... unfortunately I can't find it! It's a ring with six cones (smaller cones on top merging into bigger downlight cones on the bottom) with an aged bronze/copper finish. The important part is, it's a downlight chandelier. Look at your home space (lovely pic btw :) ... wouldn't you like a pool of warm light centered on the table itself? In my ex's house it makes the dining table the focus of the room. It REALLY changed the entire character of the room, much more welcomming and inviting. I'll try to find hers, but my advice.... get a downlight chandelier, 4-6 lights, with opaque shades (trust me on this one lol) ... and then put PAR20 narrow flood lights in for a real "pool of light" feeling on the warm wood of your table... or R20/BR20 lights in for a wider "pool".. PAR20 lights are more expensive. Halogen looks nice, I know an R20 LED that is nice and warm. But if you are on a dimmer the LEDs won't turn rosy orange like halogens. There are Philips LEDs that can do that on a dimmer but they haven't smushed them down to an R20 size yet! Just regular 40W/60W lamp size. It would be a very wide "pool" with those, but they dim amazingly! Let me know if I can help.. if I find the chandelier I'll post back.

make sure it is wide enough? bottom of chandelier should be 30-36 inches above the table top when the ceiling is 8 feet tall. For each foot above 8 feet, raise light 3 inches for each foot beyond 8 feet.

Well being as this is for a kitchen you really need lighting, and assuming based on the ceiling the power supplies that are there are what you have. So, I would say I need to see the floor plan for cabinets etc, but my first thought is to turn them to run with the wall and move to rail lighting by Tech who can offer some low profile fixture heads. Right now you need to worry about the function of the lighting more than the esthetic. IM only seeing one wall to the kitchen, if you could step back and get more of a room shot from sink side and opposite side.

I don’t think the fixtures above your island have to match exactly with the pendant over your table. BUT, I don’t think the 2 options you’ve chosen work together.
