Ceiling mounted light in bedroom or just lamps
Comments (22)We actually lived for years with a ceiling light that not only reminded us unpleasantly whenever we forgot to turn it off before hopping in bed, but which also failed to put adequate light where we did need it. No. We fixed that problem in this house. No unnecessary ceiling clutter. No wincing eye abuse. Now, as a vehicle for crystals or other mobile art, that would be different. OTOH, since we like to read and sometimes just relax and chat in bed, bedside lamps, pretty ones of course, are absolutely necessary to us. BTW, although there are lamps in a couple other places, we did connect the wall switch to my husband's side so it could be turned off from bed. Simple, works great, definitely recommend it....See MoreDecor for awkward master bedroom wall
Comments (40)Thank you, pennydesign! I think I'm going to look at floating headboards with integrated nightstands. Something like this maybe I can chalk paint and put some better drawer pulls on. And still love the simple hanging pendant light idea. Kind of gives a blank slate for the above bed decor I'll have to play with a bit more. And definitely some nice Roman shades for the windows....See More2 types of lamps for a master bedroom
Comments (2)Do you mean as bedside reading lamps, and are concerned about them not matching? Or is the floor lamp next to a chair, perhaps? Do you have pictures to help us see what you're describing?...See MoreBedroom: Wall paper and table lamps?!
Comments (19)So much better, so glad. 1. You could place your dresser on other wall as you enter and move chair to opposite side and create a little reading area. May have to play around with accessories, art, proportions and layout. Keep experimenting to get it right. 2. You could move chair closer to window, switch dresser to that wall and add a bench with large art on opposite wall. Then add crystal lamps to nightstands and you’re done. Pretty room!...See MoreMittens Cat
