exterior paint options?
New house seems really bland— we will be redoing the landscaping- have maybe 10 years on the roof- and we will be removing the two palms that are like devil horns popping up over the house
Options for paint colors? Two tone w the bricks darker on the bottom? All one color? Shutter colors? Remove shutters? Door color (i do love Mediterranean blue..) ? Wall color? Thank you very much!

This house had brick too. I'd paint it all the same color except the trim, soffits & fascia. The brick might have the same color but it will have a different texture.

Comments (7)Gray doesn't really belong on a Mediterranean house, but specifically, it is not found at all in your brick. The other fixed element that should be considered is the colour of the drive way which is an enormous amount of square footage and is the foundation for the whole house, A colour that looks like those pavers will do the job. Nothing is going to resolve the pink tone tile issue fighting with the yellow/orange brickwork, but just as the pavers are working well with both now, so too will that colour on the stucco. I don't think painting the bottom a different color is a good idea. Two me it looks like a layer cake.
The current color looks like pale gray or beige. I would give it white to stand out better.
I made these images on the SW site so they are sloppy.
I did not change the door color, it just looks black, I like the current color.
I don't like the previous owner's landscape and hard scape designs.
One thing you could change is removing the gravel. It looks like you live in a hot area and the gravel is giving a harsh, barren impression. Mulch would be better and in time most of the beds will be filled with plants. I found a picture of decent landscaping on a ranch house.
What is your growing zone? Which direction does the house face? If it faces west or south you might consider a shade tree.snobunyz24
