Shower Window Flashing Problem

We are told that Marvin Ultrex window in shower is improperly flashed. In lieu of removing, correctly flashing, and re-installing, any ideas for protecting against waster issues so that it is nearly as effective? Jamb to studs is about half inch and we were most likely going to do hardiebacker. Tile is standard subway tile. One idea was to remove fiberglass jamb, waterproof, hardiebacker, and then quartz (or similar material) for jamb area. Thank you!

No. Now, that being said who told you it was not flashed properly? How is it flashed? What are they telling you is not correct? Is this new construction? How about exterior photos?

I un-installed ver 11.0 and installed the older 10.0.2 in it's place. I also un-installed Flash Player and re-installed that again. ...still the same results after shutting down and re-starting! 3. First guess: Are you installing the correct version; I.E. vs. Non-I.E.? If you are doing a "run-install" you absolutely have to be downloading the proper version. If you are doing a "save-install" you can use any browser to download-save-install either version, but it will only effect the target browser.. In my case I have FF, Opera, Google, SlimBrowser and I.E.9 installed on the system so I have both versions of Flash installed. Use the tool below to uninstall whatever you currently have installed. camp56, damccoy,ravencajun, and stargazzer, Thank you for the quick responses. Below are my answers to the questions you have asked. The browser is IE8. The version I downloaded yesterday was Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX. I uninstalled it, and downloaded and installed it again. Using START> Control Panel>Programs and Features I confirmed what I re-downloaded was Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX. The system I have is 32 bit. After downloading and installation, I still could not see any animation. I went to the sites that ravencajun suggested, went on YouTube too, saw nothing but the same dreadful messages " You don't have current Adobe Flash Player", or "cannot find Adobe Flash Player". I have not try Safe Mode yet. Will it help? How can I get to it? Thank you again for the help.

That used to happen to me and I read somewhere it is a false update and FF had something to do with it. I still get it when I watch a u tube. It tells me I need flash player to watch it and in spite of the warning it still plays.

Windows don’t belong in showers where Bubbas are doing the work. You have a disaster on your hands, outside and inside both.

Install the backerboard, waterproof, and tile up to/past the window. Install a Glacier White Corian sill over the existing with a good edge overhang and a drip slot on the bottom with returned ends which Corian jambs with Corian casing will die into. Silicone a Corian head jamb with casing into position and you've got a waterproof window. I'd charge you several thousand dollars, but it would never leak, need maintenance, or grow mold or mildew. And would look fantastic.

We were told fortiflash should wrap into stud area. That way, it would prevent any moisture from finding its way to studs. Silicone will not last from the many folks we have spoke to.

Outside is flashed correctly. The one issue is that the fortiflash does not wrap into the inside.

What waterproofing system is being planned for your shower? Cement board, tile, and grout are NOT waterproof. And where did you find the bubba that doesn’t have a clue who is hacking this up?
