Fun2BHere -- Thank you. I had read that and was unable to translate anything into the Mbps I would need to know to choose a Comcast plan. Xfinity offers 25 Mbps, 60 Mbps, 150 Mbps, etc. Our current plan has 150 Mbps and is fine, but perhaps it is overkill for streaming movies (one at a time on one TV) or posting on the KT.

No you don't need that high of a speed for streaming. I have xfinity for internet and I stream just fine at the 70 to 80 range. Be sure to ask for a senior discount!

I was hoping to hear from you, Raven. We are still enjoying the Pioneer receiver you discovered for us when our old one failed. It appears the Xfinity plans have nothing between 60 Mbps and 150 Mbps. Seems we'd need 100! I'll look again. Thanks for the Seniors tip!

We stream everything up to and including 4K with a 25Mbps plan just fine.

I checked. There is no 100 Mbps offered. They also have something with huge gigabits for almost the same monthly charge. Is that just to support a family with six kids all playing different games? It says something about Netflix and You Tube...???

Yes, You should have no problems at 60Mbps.

NO less than 25mbps if you're streaming from one device and other devices like phones, ipads, and other gadgets are idle.

I have 100 mbps with Spectrum. That's their minimum in my community. It's now $55 month.

I did a speed test, and mine came out as 263 Mbps. I have fiber optic, and so that might make it faster.

HSD performance 55 is what I have with xfinity. Here's a test I just did.

There's some misinformation in this thread. I was going to suggest 25megs Down would be plenty but I thought to check with Netflix's recommendation. Here it is. Unless you're doing Ultra HD quality, you'd need that much but not more and if you don't pay for that extra level of definition, you don't need that much.

The Up stat doesn't matter for streaming. The higher bandwidth services are for people who either have multiple simultaneous users or need a higher down service because they need a higher Up service (that describes me). Otherwise, 25 is more than enough for a single instance of streaming.
