Our condo AOAO has contracted with Oceanic to install modems and basic service in every condo on the property. Oceanic has been the complex's cable TV provider for a long time. (We pay Oceanic extra for our HD-DVR.)

They wired the last condo today. They will provide 5 (whatchamacallits) Upload and 50 Download. What speed do I need to add (and pay for)? No streaming; just emails, KT, etc.

I honestly don't know what speed I have currently. We initially signed up for internet with the phone company because everyone here complained about Oceanic! We've been very happy with that, but now are paying for Oceanic anyway through our AOAO fees.

*** I'd also like to know where I would look to find if I have inadvertently 'blocked' someone's email. The manager of our condo claims that when he replies to one of my emails, it bounces back.
