Comments (18)Yes Annie, ovals are hard to come by. LOL, guess what I just spotted while sitting here looking up right here within 4 feet of me. It is too high for me to really get a decent picture as I can no longer hold the camera steady in most positions, but here it is. I do have this in a window that has probably been seen several times in other posts. And then I noticed these oval petals on the many pics I have taken of my Hydrangea....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Th 6/29/23

Seriously, tho - no contraband was transported. And speaking of songs, roxsol's post reminded me of ELO's 'Above The Clouds' - it's one of my faves....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Th 6/13/24

7 years agoNothing from D day but thanks for all the brave men and women who served. Several in my family.
Here is a pic of Bane, looking as shiny as a new penny.
7 years agoNo D-Day pictures for me either. How about a Floridian sunset wishing peace for everyone on this day.

7 years agoThe blooms of the Tulip Poplar Tree can easily be missed.
They are pretty and not what we normally think of as tree blossoms.
7 years agolast modified: 7 years agoI had 4 uncles involved in WWII, 2 on each parent's side. And 2 lost their lives from both sides. My mom's brother was wounded and lost his eye. A brother of my dad was in the Bataan Death March and almost didn't make it. None of them would talk about it.
I only have one uncle's picture and information. He was part of the Parachute Infantry and was shot on D-Day. (DOW means Died of Wounds.) He was so young, only 20.
