Exterior Shutter color for Hardie Shingle Monterey Taupe

Kathy Darling

Hi. I am replacing my exterior vinyl shutters (that have faded terribly) with board and batten wood shutters. The house color is James Hardie Shingle (with stucco upper) in Monterey Taupe color. I am wanting a softer look after years of black shutters. All my light fixtures will be oil rubbed bronze. I am looking at the Benjamin Moore color Bear Creek, #1470. Attached are two photos with a piece of plywood painted with the sample color. The second picture is a more accurate color rendering than the first, which appears darker. I could not figure out how to delete the first picture. The actual color would be an exterior satin finish, so would have a nice soft sheen. Can you tell me if you think this will look nice for what I am trying to achieve?
