Need help rethinking Great Room / Dining Room / Family Room / Kitchen
Comments (3)The plan separates each living space with access from a central hall. It would work well for an office building but not so much for a house especially f you plan to entertain. I find that trying to make a good plan out of a bad one is usually a waste of time and effort. Its like renovating a house that hasn't been built yet. Decide what you think an entertainment space should look like and develop the house around it. But I would not design a house around an occasional use. The interrelationships of family members should be the dominant theme of a house. And I would never put a level change in a living space unless there was an alternate wheelchair route. If you plan to entertain, the front door should have wheelchair access too. An accessible half bath would be good too....See MoreMoving in! Need dining room ideas
Comments (8)I have no feel for the space at all a floor plan scaled and with detail would be very helpful. A new counter depth fridge would be my first purchase and please no more black. Is that just the pic or is there actually a faux finish on the walls, if so that needs to go for sure . IMO a glass top table with a silver metal base would be my choice from what I can see....See MoreGreat room to Dining Room Transition Furniture

Comments (9)Do you like branches' type? smth like this one? https://www.lightology.com/index.php?module=prod_detail&prod_id=771002 or this one which is less ornate https://www.lightology.com/index.php?module=prod_detail&prod_id=771028 they're gilded though..might be too much with chrome..chairs' legs are chrome, right? a bit hard to see.. this one is smaller but will have presence due to whimsiness and color https://straydogdesigns.com/collections/chandeliers/products/olive-chandelier one can go for several pendants in cool texture. https://www.etsy.com/listing/159724618/modern-pendant-light-custom-lighting?ref=shop_home_active_8&frs=1 way too expensive (as if other's weren't)), but I like te idea of customising every finish https://www.alliedmaker.com/collections/products/products/arc-pendant-perforated-20?variant=33462204873 these are cool but no idea where one gets them. to be frank. http://dmoch.se/news.html if you prefer industrial..one can order almost any length. I'm not sure where the light goes in this one though.. https://www.schoolhouse.com/collections/pendants-chandeliers/products/regent-chandelier-white many great links I had don't seem to work for me anymore(( but give us a direction maybe. Because I have a lot more that still work, and might be completely missing the point. whatever you have (is it Darlana?) looks good too I must say. I can see why you'd want a change, but still. great improvement on these shelves, congrats!...See MoreShadyWillowFarm
