Comments (7)That was one of the items my realtor and the stager that works with him insisted on. It was replace them all, or none. I had the shiny brass balls so maybe that had something to do with it. I bought satin nickel levers on Build.com. I got the hinges for a dollar each on Amazon. I also did all the cabinet pulls and hinges (they were visible) so it was an expense of about $500 for a 3000 square foot house. The cabinet hinges (double demountable) were surprisingly expensive and no deals to be had. Everyone says "let the new owner do X." But if there are too many X's to do, there may not be a new owner to do them? Or else you have to sell as a fixer upper. Good luck with your sale! Comments (10)they don't do plain old gray screens anymore? do you have a pic of what it looks like w/the black or the white screens? also, remove those shutters. they don't work at all on the large window, and are useless on the smaller window....See Moreselling our house. which white for cabinets?
Comments (29)If I was a buyer I would be suspicious of the durability of a new paint job on previously finished cabinets. I see painted over previously finished cabinets as a way to extend the life of the cabinets while saving up for a new kitchen - buys time but they usually require touch ups, and 5 to 10 years down the road can look a little sad. If some of the cabinets are showing wear, see if you can get a refinisher to touch up those areas. My mother and sister did that - cabinets look great several years later and it was not costly like a total paint job. This is my wood kitchens idea book. It has both new and older, refreshed kitchens if you feel the need to refresh at all. https://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/75202366/list/wood-kitchens If I bought your house the only change I would make to the kitchen would be a cream subway tile backslash - if that would work with the counters. I would not see the green as deal breaker because changing out a backsplash is not super expensive. You might not want to bother with it since a buyer can do that without breaking the bank....See MoreDark trim vs. White. Updating home without painting ALL TRIM white??
Comments (20)* Also when looking at the hallway ^... that photo of the "door" to the right is actually an elevator door...(Its faux painted...done before we moved here.) That is also the dilemma... if husband paints trim white... there is that door and I do NOT want to paint it white. so can the trim around the door be painted?...See Morecat_ky
