hi juno. i decided to go with a stainless steel undermount. i just don't like the look of a stainless front and i don't want to deal with possibly chips/scratches on the fireclay. we are happiest with the single basin SS with zero/almost zero radius corners so we're going with that.

I purchased my Sea Salt Kohler Whitehaven through Amazon Warehouse. Got it for almost 1/2 price. It was perfect. I only purchase if an item is marked as 'Like New' or 'Very Good'. Just saw a Ruvati 9200 workstation apron front stainless on there with several installed pics. Might be worth checking out.

If you don't want an apron style, a 36" sink undermounts into a 36" cabinet, I don't care what the sink manufacturer says. Strap, don't clip or block the sink in place.

I defer to @joseph_corlett in terms of installation expertise. I have a work station style farmhouse sink and it is fantastic in terms of functionality. It enables me to have a relatively large sink in my small urban kitchen since a portion of the sink effectively becomes counter - both to prep obviously but also I keep the "grid" on top most of the time and I can use it for bags when coming home from the store or to dry produce or hand washed stuff without the need for a dishrack of some kind. It also keeps the counter much cleaner since prep is done over the sink directly. Mine has an offset drain - to the rear and in back which increases the functionality of the sink since the pipes don't biset the sink cabinet so I can have both a garbage disposal plus a pull out trash receptacle (full size). Mine is 36" in a 36" base in copper from Havens Metal.
