I wish I would have seen the Tec "pearl" grout earlier. I went with something that has turned out too light - it isn't stark white but still more white than I like. The Tec "pearl" would have given me the extra beige "hue" that I wanted. That looks lovely. This picking out grout is no easy task. I didn't take it seriously enough. It dries lighter than I thought and my contractor only had questions - he didn't want to offer suggestions - I think he has been burned before. Oh well.

This tiles are called Victorian Octagon with black dots. I grew up with them in my house in the 1970s and now one of my bathrooms - I live in a very old apartment building - still has the same type of tile! If I were renovating, I would not use this style, it is old-style and that means the rest of your bathroom would have to match, including the towel bars and hooks. I find this style outdated and I don't understand why anyone would want their bathroom to look old and outdated, unless you want the retro look, but then you would have to be a pretty darn good if not great designer which, gauging from the sound of your inquiry, you are not anywhere near a good designer. I say "Blah!" and "Yuck!" to these tiles, they remind me of my childhood days when the bathroom was only used for pee, poop, and accidental throw-up!

Hi Kay, I prowled through my bookmarks and found a site that appears to sell 2 inch white hex in both a gloss and matte glaze. I don't know anything about the company. I'm planning to use unglazed 2 inch hex and assumed I'd order them from Bungalow Tile, but it looks like it's been subsumed into Subway Ceramics and no longer accepts direct orders. ARGH! Nopushover, would you mind saying what brand and color or grout you used? NICE! Right now I'm leaning towards the Oyster gray color in the Prism line, but it does seem a bit light. Blue, I vote for 1" hex, too. That's what I've just used in my very small bathroom. If it ever does get grouted, I'll try to post a pic. Good luck. pup
