Oh no. I‘m sorry about the employees who don’t have a job. Selfishly, though, I’m concerned about my cabinets I have on order, since the demo for my kitchen has started. I will ask my KD if they‘ve come in yet - if not, this could be a real headache. Sigh.

Same thing happened at WoodPro in Missouri in January this year. It is sad, but WoodPro started up again in March. Hopefully same thing happens for Wood Mode.

If anyone is interested, my KD said they were being sold and had only laid off "non-essential" employees thus far. She said that they are still working on existing orders.

So far as I know, the sale fell through and their bank declined to extend a loan for working capital until they could find another buyer. Thus they laid off all employees. That could be wrong, but that is my understanding.

bry911, my KD said she talked to her rep there and got that information. They told her my cabinets are still scheduled to ship in 2 weeks. I did find this article that said that the company closed today, but some employees will be called back tomorrow to finish final orders. It will be a nail biter for sure until then!

Did anyone hear any more information about existing orders? My cabinets were scheduled to be delivered this week. Kitchen demo is done and we are supposed to move in 3 weeks. Now we are stuck deciding whether to wait and see what happens or order new cabinets.

Morgan, it turns out that my order will NOT be completed. We're in the same boat - our kitchen has already been demoed.

You know, I had never heard of Wood-Mode before my Sales Rep. told me they shut their doors a few weeks ago, and their dealers were contacting Conestoga Wood Specialties to see if they could produce cabinets and doors to Wood-Mode spec's. I am sure Conestoga can, as they make a lot of the components, for a lot of the different cabinet manufacturers, but I would think it would take months to set this all up, and that won't help customers with partially finished kitchens :( That all being said, I am one of the few Authorized Conestoga cabinet re-sellers, and would be happy to provide any Wood-Mode customers with a competitive kitchen quote. Conestoga cabinets can be ordered and delivered in less than 4-weeks. No upcharge for custom sizing. Like I mentioned, I am not sure what kind of quality Wood-Mode cabinets are, but I do know that Conestoga's cabinets are the best I have ever seen.
