WOW mjlb - some great ideas. I've always had one vision in my head but this is a wonderful place where strangers come up with great ideas. Now I need to wrap my head around it. Why the tub/shower and not just a shower? I thought most people would prefer only a shower. This is an old house that was changed over the years. Original brick house built somewhere 1835 - 1845 (it was always listed 1825 but old maps did not show it then). Addition - where this room is located was added 1860's or so and then converted it into a 2 family in 1914 and this room into a kitchen. I think the addition was the summer kitchen and this was a servant's room. The "small" room turned into the pantry for the 2nd floor kitchen in 1914. The doorway into the main house was added when converted into a 2 family. The wall where the bed would go isn't flat but I may be able to work around it (sent DH and DS to take measurements and was surprised they weren't more exact). The window part jets out a little plus the "pillar" made of brick. Here are more pictures of the room Looking into the new guest bath Pantry built in I would like to keep but open up the top. Maybe I could put the frig on the right side where the sink will be located? I hate to remove the drawers. Should I strip the paint (sandblast?) off the brick? It's painted now but in a few places it's peeling.

I think anything over 31 inches is too high for the bedroom lamp. I think 29-30 inches is just right, but it could be a little chunkier like the ones in the furniture ad. What you have on the end tables are pretty but they disappear because they are too skinny and you see thru the glass. I love the 30" lamp and like the 32" inch but the 32 might be too tall...not sure. I keep looking back at the sofa....unless there is more space we do not see, I think its just not the right size for the room, regardless of the fabric. If you do not have another place for it, I would see if you can exchange it. I would rather see a triple dresser or armoir on that wall:) with a smaller club style chair and ottoman or chaise in the corner. Someone mentioned turning it around and putting up a flat screen....I dont think its possible, it would be like sitting in the first row of a movie theater...you only have a foot or so of space between it and the bed. The bench is another alternative but not something you are going to hang out on. If you add the matching triple dresser you wouldnt have room for a bench. You are heading in the right direction...the bed set, curtains and wall color look awesome.

kswl, your post came at a perfect time. I slept so poorly an had a dream that I bought the white wicker dresser and added white crochet runners to the sides of the book cases to make them go better and added a white framed picture on the other side of the room. I am in the middle of so many deadlines and not sleeping at night from back and neck pain and now I seem to have this need to have my home neat and looking nice in all rooms and not just my beautiful Master bedroom that now is all matching. I do not have the cherry wood here in person and it could be a different shade also and not match and will hold less clothes and then if I move and the set is discontinued then maybe I will not be able to add more pieces of furniture. I think you are right that my first impression that the wicker dresser is grown up looking, fresh and pretty and is very versatile in matching other colors and adding on white wicker pieces in the future is doable if I ever move. The dresser will fit that wall and if I take all the plastic drawers out from the middle of the room and that wall, it may look nice and not overwhelmingly too big for the room. I can make other parts of the room match the white wicker dresser by adding white in other places. I wish I was not in the middle of these deadlines so I could take pictures and post them but I am overwhelmed as it is in getting done my work and have been second guessing my decision which was based on finding out that I was not allergic to the white wicker hampers I bought from Fran's wicker and found out I loved the white wicker in my laundry room. Then I thought that maybe I should just get a wicker dresser in my spare room from this place that has wicker that is not outgassing like other places. Then I saw the size of the drawers of this set and they gave me 12% off and since I live in driving distance from the store, I could save on shipping. Then I saw on their website that the White Wash finish was a color I had not considered so I got confused if I should switch to the white wash finish and put the order on hold until I get a chance to go to the store. Hence, I shared the pictures I sent to the list with a friend last night and she felt I needed a cherry dresser. But to buy a solid wood cherry dresser usually takes ordering from a retailer that orders from a special company that could take weeks and may not give me a good price on one piece of furniture.

I originally wanted to do a slightly larger print but going up in size came with a significant price bump. Adding something else to either side would be a good option :) Oh and I am from Texas too!
