Does this piece of art work in my room (w/pics)?
Comments (55)I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!...See MoreNew art piece for powder room wall. Comments (15)The Haitian Tree of Life, IIRC. :) Creekylis, I hope you don't mind me interjected a quick question. I noticed your red soap pump. Is that from Target? If so, I've been eyeing those, in the green or beige, for soap & lotion. How do you like it so far? Is it working ok? (I've had some issues with their soap pumps in the past) I really love the back pump design they have....See MoreTaking suggestions for wall art powder room
Comments (5)I would go with something that has a lot of light colors to break up the dark wall. You should check out Etsy for prints or original paintings....See Moredining room art work? help!
Comments (11)I'm shocked by the first post. Not because I don't know the interet is like this but you have a lovely room already and its very inviting. Could you go for something like this in the dining room? I'd add a tall tree to one side -- or maybe frame it with two! As for the entry area, I'd rethink it to be more functional because most people really do need that space to put down stuff or keep stuff. That doesn't mean constant clutter. But it's okay if it's empty and maybe just has an attractive bowl or catchall or tray on one side. Actually Levenger's sells a note "bleacher" where you can leave notes, letters you shouldn't forget to mail or mix in a favorite photo or postcards. https://www.levenger.com/products/note-card-bleachers?variant=42555135787157 I would also want some kind of umbrella holder under the console. I'd put a walking stick in there too but I like to use them. But I wouldn't put flowers or books or candles. (I might go for a great flaslight!) https://www.ebay.com/itm/195840629086?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&srsltid=ASuE1wT9G_7DHE4jqL58TaDePa2o8aNCXVHxJfYglXtvAachZnUY5M80qI8...See MoreSouthern Hospitality
