Perfect Patio Chaise Lounge -Dallas\Ft Worth
Comments (3)Hi Calihom, I live fairly close, so let me look at them again tomorrow when I have more time. We just filled our pool and I am looking at chaise lounges. Thanks....See MoreChaise Lounges
Comments (13)I have seen many in bedrooms on design links. Depends upon the room, decor and what one would use it for. Had one in my living room. Not a back recliner. But as others mentioned, people always shied away from it...except for the grown kids and myself. I ended up reconstructing and cut the end off. Surprisingly easy. Used the existing feet and finished off the edges with fabric from lounge extension into a big comfy chair. Had a large ottoman which was same size, different, but go to matching fabric. Works the same as a lounge if wanted, but can be moved around for more welcoming seating. Having a chaise lounge made me stay away from couches with them. They probably have their use, but doesn't work for me....See MoreWhat is the best swimming pool baja shelf lounge chair brand and why?
Comments (10)tiffeslan, I have a baja shelf/tanning ledge on my pool that's big enough for two loungers. It's a new construction and our first year with the salt water pool. My first two concerns were ensuring that the lounger was all plastic so we wouldn't have to worry about corrosion and making sure that they weren't rediculously wide or heavy. I take my loungers in and out of the shelf area and move them to the deck area depending on if I want in the water or not at the time. I found a few options. Some that were $200+ from various online retailers ($300+ for same ones at my local outdoor/pool stores), or some basic white plastic lounge chairs from HomeDepot (Adams is the brand I believe). We've had them for about 3 months now and they're never covered. They sit in direct sunlight for about 13 hours a day right now. They're light so I can move them really easily, but heavy enough that they don't blow around in the wind (Oklahoma gets windy). Best part, they are cheap enough that if my kids tear them up I'm not going to be as mad at them as I would if they cost me $200+ each. You're thinking may be different than mine, but for the price they hit all the functions I needed....See MoreI need help coordinating 3 outdoor areas (pool gazebo and dining area)
Comments (4)How about a pattern you like with colors that match your existing solids. Then you can mix and match. Looks like you've pretty much got beige and brown there now. Do you want something subtle or bold? Dark red or blue would be an option. A bolder accent color would draw the eyes to the space and make it look more inviting. As would maybe some bolder accents on the tables or walls. Like a big metal candle lantern or flower pot or metal sculpture on the wall. We got some garage sale nautical art to hand on our porch wall, under the roof of course but not fine art that will get ruined by a little weather. We even have a sign that says, "Welcome to the porch" and then lists all the fun things you can do there. Kitschy but makes the space look inviting....See More- 5 years ago
