Comments (4)Is the soffit which divides the two spaces painted a different color or is that just the lighting? The built ins are beautiful. I love the paint color! Can you tell us what your style is? Do you like straight lines? Do you like color? Of the top of my head I would say rich color rugs, curtains and lots of lamps. Those are the things I always want in my home. Not to mention art. The rest falls into place. I guess to suggest we need to know what you like and the feeling you want in the space....See MoreFloor recommendations for basement workout room?
Comments (3)I like an 'entry level' cork floating floor in a work out area (utilitarian pattern). You can seal the floating cork floor if you want. But it doesn't need it. Cork dimples (dents that pop out with heat) when heavy objects are placed on them for long periods of time (like a king sized bed, etc). An area rug underneath the workout bike will prevent the dimples from happening. You can use floating cork flooring throughout the basement area. It *should cost the same as a higher-priced laminate ($3/sf). It can do everything a carpet can do...and more. If cork floating floors (click-together flooring) interests you: www.icorkfloor.com Order some samples from Anne. If it is something you are going to work with, ask the builder to create a concrete slab that is ready for a floating laminate floor. That's all the prep you will need....See MoreNeed help layout music/bonus room
Comments (5)IMO don’t designate a bedroom at all. When you say music room are drums the only instruments or does the band bring stuff with them ? I would use the sapce you have for the bedroom for the workout space make sure you have a TV in there and mirrors on one wall if weights are part of the stuff. IMO the bathroom really only needs a shower and then you need some furniture for the band to hang out on and one of those pieces could be a sofa bed . so that sofa some chairs, A nice bar area where you show it , nice and close to the plumbing and I would add a small DW too...See MoreLooking for paint color for re-do of bedroom to bedroom/workout room
Comments (0)Hi, Looking for help identifying a paint color for my daughter's old bedroom as we transition it to a guest bedroom/workout room. The attached photos show what color the walls are today, which are pretty similar to the rest of the house. Sort of a light beige. I was hoping to try something different - but not so different that the room looks like it's from a different house :-) The bed and the lamp is the only furniture that has to stay, the rest is on it's way out. Planning to get an exercise bike, tv and have yoga mat (in photo). Also want to replace the window coverings and hope to find someone that can refinish the hardwood floors underneath the carpet. Also, are feature walls still a thing? Thanks for any ideas!...See Moretartanmeup
