Spammer Iliana Tagos ...and TCookery

How can we get houzz to delete the account? It is getting a bit out of control.

I actually contacted Houzz about her last night. It's not easy to find the links to do so though.

Whack-a-mole. The spammers just open new accounts under different names.

This one has been around for a while. Same name and link to a website. This morning was maybe 15 old topics brought up. Linking to a recipe on the same site. 99% of the recipes do not at all relate to the original post.

There are a couple of furniture stores who constantly spam the Furniture Forum, They've 'earned' "Best of Houzz" 'awards' and are advertisers, so they keep showing up. Whack-A-Mole.

I cannot visit here (and other forums) as often as I’d like. Unfortunately, I’ve responded to more than a couple old threads. Great info, but I imagine that those who keep current (not to mention find spamand ads) are growing frustrated.

I have no problem with old threads being brought back up - it does not bother me in the least. I'm just glad that they are still around, as I get information from them from time to time. I've not seen anything from Iliana Tagos or TCookery, however, and so I'm not sure what this is about.

Thanks, Colleen! That does sound annoying.

The main reasons for this sort of spam is because everything is being monetized. People make money with YouTube videos, blogs are usually commercially sponsored, and companies just want to drive clicks to their websites to get a better search engine rating. It's all very annoying.

I report a large number of them as well. You can always tell when the spammer is busy, as there will be large number of dated Cooking forum threads showing up one after another. And usually pretty early in the day.
