My taste is different than your taste. The fixtures you picked are beautiful, but my taste in your environment would lead me to a similiar but simpler style. Least amount of bulk, the better. But not so simple that is looks cheap. Exquiste details, fine craftsmenship is good but bulk might overstate. Even Lowes has solutions I would take. Your choices are great and if they please you and your family, go for it. You will be looking at the fixtures for the next x years and they need to make you happy. No one else really matters.(Except if you try to sell your house.) For a sellable opinion, I once asked a realtor to tell me what fixture would help me sell the house. She had some good ideas.

@bh401 - Thanks for adding my pictures. I tried - but as you can see, the best I could get were the links posted. Is there an FAQ somewhere with instructions on how to insert pictures to a post? To everyone... thanks so much for all the advice. I really like all five of the options (though #5 is probably the most 'out there' for me). My favorite at the moment is #2 - but I agree that I am not sure how the brown silk shades will work with the colors in that room. #1 - I am a bit afraid of the cream color shade against all the white trim. #3 - Seems a bit too minimalist and #4 is still a strong contender. I am seriously tempted to just order both #1 and #4 so that I can see them in person and make a decision. I really need to choose so I can move on to the bathroom light, and then the cabinet hardware, and undercabinet lighting followed by the fabric for the window seat cushions, and then window treatments... :-)

hi! I having a hard time finding a fitting chandelier for this foyer. there are grey/white marble floors, and the stairs will be painted/stained white and dark brown (see photo shop pic with white paneling for general look). walls will be very light, almost white. the house is traditional but it's being updated as transitional/traditional... I've been searching through lights for Hours and I'm still not loving anything. any light recommendations are appreciated!
