Is it possible to put more than one picture per post? This is some newer plants I put in. I've had to start putting DE around the plants because there were lots of ants walking around up there. So I assume there are aphids. The okra has the definite speckling I've seen shown as spidermite damage. The other leaves that have already died have the white circles on brown dry leaves I've seen for spider mites. I plant the seeds in net cups. They germinate, break ground and very shortly after are turning very light green to yellow even though they are getting nutrients. Or the edges around the leaf go crispy brown and slowly works it's way in to the middle of the leaf, leaving white dots behind.

Just purchased some land and cleaning it up. It had a few collapsed buildings that haven't been used in years, but noticed it has chiggers and ants. I'm thinking about growing a small garden and wanted to know what beneficial insects you use to keep your gardens in line and healthy. Also, what plants do you plant to help the beneficial insects out?

What a coincidence Rick just spent all day fussing over my seedlings with spider mite. i have never had them on my seedlings before, the reason i have them is its been the second worse winter for me i have lost lots of plants to the rot monster so in desperation i put my yearlings in the warm grow room to save them now there is spider mite over everything so im on the net looking for predatory mites i did see a website after we were chatting about them a couple of months ago i just treated them by spraying alcohol to keep them at bay until i get the bugs.
