Sloppy Joes - Okay for a Work Party at my Home?
Comments (26)For parties, I like to serve food that you don't need two hands to eat, or that needs cutting with a knife, unless you are doing a sit down at a table meal. In the living room, on an upholstered chair or couch, I don't want to have to balance a plate on my lap and use both hands to raise something to my mouth, or have a knife and fork in my hands with the plate precariously sliding around on my lap. I appreciate food that is either finger food or that can be stabbed or scooped with a fork while I hold the edge of my plate with my other hand. Even with one handed food, I don't want to eat (so don't serve) something that is going to slop sauce on the front of my clothes or onto the furniture. So I'd think about those sorts of things when deciding on what to serve. As delicious as some food is, it's just not good buffet style party food....See Moresloppy Marcite renovation.....What to do?
Comments (1)I don't think your guy knows what he's doing. Plastering a pool is a one day or less job for a crew of skilled men. A good crew will prepare the site so they don't track plaster on the decks. Sorry....See MoreIn middle of shower remodle and need help!
Comments (15)Holy crap! Does your state have a registrar of contractors? Call them immediately for an inspection! Or call your city to inspect; they usually just inspect new builds, but I'll bet they'll inspect your remodel if you ask. (In fact, my tile man just told me that there have been so many problems with leaking remodeled showers in a neighboring city that they are doing inspections of remodels now.) As roarah and Mongo have said, you have SERIOUS problems. The backer board isn't right AT ALL, both kinds of tile are all messed up, and what's with the mess everywhere? Do NOT let anyone do another single thing to your bathroom until you get an inspection (which will be important when you want to fire this guy and get your money back.) To give you an example of how the backer board should be, here's a photo of our shower being built. We used Hardibacker....See MoreTiler does sloppy work with grout in corners
Comments (11)im saying you hired a handyman who knows not how to tile and detail properly . And thats likely why you are here posting pics and showing concern. Next time focus all and every single bit of energy you have on hiring the right crew, the crew that doesnt have you guessing, worrying, chasing second opinions on a mess of a misinformed web like hooz...See MoreDiana Bier Interiors, LLC
