Finding a discontinued vinyl floor?

I need a sheet vinyl floor for an 8x12 room. I wasn't finding much that was appealing UNTIL one day I fell in love with a Mannington pattern called Lattice. It's sort of an art deco classic, with a subtle bit of color:

It reminds me of the pattern in the bathroom of my favorite aunt's house, where we lived for a short time when I was small. Good memories!

And it would work well color-wise in the space I have. When I originally saw the sample at my local flooring store in a display of many other Mannington products, including the same Lattice pattern in two additional colors, I was pleasantly surprised, and kept returning to it in my thoughts.

Today I happened to be at another Mannington dealer where it was NOT part of the display, When I inquired about it, the guy called his supplier and learned that it was discontinued. Horrors! I tried to check it on the Mannington website, and the message returned was the classic: 'Sorry! The page you are looking for is not found.' The guy today had asked his supplier who might have any left, with no luck. Of the three colors, only the one I like was discontinued. I am guessing the discontinue action must be relatively recent if the first store still has it in their display, and I thought maybe they might still have some in their supply chain. I dropped a line to the sales staff there to see about it, but haven't heard back.

I'll try calling Mannington tomorrow (if they are open) to see if they have any advice for me. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Might there be some remnant clearinghouse for sheet vinyl!!? This product is 12 feet wide so I only need 8 running feet.

Yes, I know the heyday of sheet vinyl has passed and there are now many other flooring products with truly outstanding qualities. But without going into tedious details, our options are limited for the current application, and sheet vinyl is the best solution.

Go back to the original stores where you saw the samples and ask if they have any remnants. They might have old displays of it...or some sort of warehouse with a left over roll of it.

Other than that, you are looking for a marble tile look because that is what this product is mimicking. The lattice look is actually referred to as a basket weave pattern. This is VERY common in marble tiles (especially at places like Home Depot, etc).

Sheet goods are making a strong comeback because their visuals have become MUCH better since the last time they were 'hot' = mid '80's.

If you can't find the PATTERN at least try to find the same 'tones'. And those tones are considered 'natural marble'. Go ahead and google "sheet vinyl basket weave". That will get you a lot more options that lattice.

I'd try to find a carpet/tile store that carries Mannington and see if they have it in stock. Something like a Lumber liquidators.

Good luck on that one ... two-year-old disco'd vinyl. You might try local flooring shops which carry Armstrong just to see if they might have a remnant. I think there also are some sites on the Web which allow you to put up a post stating what you're looking for; maybe someone somewhere has it, though shipping it won't be cheap. But I think you'll have to come up with a Plan B. I think you'll have to come up with a Plan B.

I am trying to get my home ready to sell, we have been gifted 2 cases (27sq ft each) of Nafco LO 722 Spice vinyl planking, but still need 4 to do the space we have, i've done some internet searching, and haven't had much luck. Any one out there with ideas ? If we found a Nafco that was similar with just a slight color variation would it look stupid to mix the 2 colors to make it look on purpose? I'm thinking probably so, since it's an obvious vinyl not wood planks that have natural variations. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated. Trying to get it done for the least amount of damage to the pocketbook. The primary reason for thinking it should be done is that there is about a 2 inch gap x the length of 1 tile in the flooring tiles that are down in the hallway, we've lived with it for 10 years, but it still sucks to catch a toe on it in the middle of the night in the dark. Don't want potential buyers to say oh well I'll have to change that and drop way below market value on their offer.

Sorry to have disappeared for a few days - my truck broke down. Thanks MayFlower. That is a nice floor. I do like the even color of the "quiet" stone tiles, but just haven't seen anything I like when I seen samples in person. I'm really in love with this soft linear look... almost like a grass instead of wood look. Problem is...it's hard to find any photos of it installed online or I'm just not good at describing it. Maxmillion - I was all set to love the marmoleum striato from seeing their site. I did bring a couple of samples home but they were all just a little off in color. On the right track though. Someone else out there has to have used this style so hoping for photos. Any suggestions on where/how else to post for help with this, or with searching for "real" photos of this style. Google isn't much help for finding photos on blogs anymore.... I miss "discussion search". In case this helps someone else, here's another nice linear tile I found by Centiva-Tandus - NS-7127-E Okara Tan.

What colorway did you buy it in and how much do you need? Note that it may not be listed as P Kaufmann. Many times I have found a fabric under one vendor name and found the identical one under another; even the names have differed. I've linked a vendor below where I found it discontinued and they show it in Coral. They say that 'archived' fabrics have a 25 yard minimum order. Their price is $19.98 per yard. Thanks for checking carpet express for me tqtqtbw .

The lattice pattern originally came in three different colors for the center of the pattern, with the same marble effect for the other sections, but only one was discontinued.

The three original colors were: the Gardenia that you saw, which has a gray kind of center; a combination called Elderberry, which has a darker center; and the Hydrangea pattern that I want where the center is a muted aqua. The Gardenia and the Elderberry versions remain in the system, and evidently only the Hydrangea was discontinued. Just my doggone luck!

For the heck of it, I called Carpet Express. They told me they would not have it since they don't sell much Mannington. Then I called Lumber Liquidators; they don't sell sheet vinyl at all -- just plank products.

Good news! I found it! Or rather my local store contacted Mannington and they found some. I had called Mannington and they told me they didn't have it, but when the vendor contacted them -- different story! So a lesson learned with the good news.
