Super cute house! I don't know if you need the shutters. It seems you have French doors opening to a big drop in the front of the house. Is that right? I don't think that is to code. But there is nothing I would change (except the shutters) to the facade.

The blue spruce is going to be a huge tree someday. It really needs to go where it can easily grow to over 50 feet.

Are you looking for major make-over or just adding some accents?

I think you could convert the front porch wall to modern horizontal or vertical fence. Plus, add Cedar clear siding to the right wall.

I would balance the house by painting the french doors a deep charcoal grey to match the front door and shutters clear out the are in front of the french doors- install stairs w wrought iron handrails and have a small sitting area or herbal garden.

It’s hard to improve on what you have. Beautiful home!

We can't see what's in front of the French doors. You must like the privacy of the brick wall on the left. I think both sides would look nice with wrought iron - a balcony at the French doors (deep enough for a small table and chairs) and the same wrought iron instead of the brick wall on the left.

Love you little "almost secret" sitting area. Your house is so attractive and inviting. My eye was drawn to the red colored mulch, I would change that right away as well as losing the shutters. I would look into a simple storm door, all glass, plus paint the doors in like colors Like the idea of sconces. I'm hoping your blue spruce is a shrub version. Even then, they grow, not tall, but wide unless carefully pruned. I know as mine need to be trimmed!

You have a good thing going on there. Some copper landscape lighting would be nice. Maybe some type of tall freestanding sculpture on the left of French doors. The only reason I don’t like the French door area wall sconce idea is that it would compete with the front door as to what the actual entry is.

Wonderful sitting area there! I would add wrought iron railings to help people get up and down the stairs. I like the idea of painting these doors and the entry one to match in a dark color. Changing the light fixture is a good idea too. Think about adding a canopy, pergola or shade sail over the patio. I would camouflage the downspouts and remove the WI storm door to feature your entry door.

Now the French doors make sense.
