lg customer service and manufacturing issue
Comments (4)sorry about the yelling..forgot to turn off the caps...LOL. a service person has determined it to be now repairable. The material that came off was not just flakes of enamel. It is a large chunk of blackened on the outside/blue enamel on the inside...leaving bare metal. the flaw is also on the back of the oven cavity...unless I was slinging sugar around by hand it isn't any food item. And causing the enamel to melt and run and form large chunks seems out of the realm of possibility. I looked up on a manufacturers website what could damage the enamel and hydroflouric acid was about it. It is made to be self-cleaning oven...high heat. The interior shouldn't melt with normal cooking of food. And I also know that I "spilled' nothing. If you look closely at the pictures I took, you can see that the damage extends under the edge of the convection fan in the back of the oven...I couldn't have spilled it there....See MoreWhat has happened to Boyles?
Comments (8)Okay, I spoke to her again this morning. I told her that I wasnt happy with their service. We paid good money for this set and it arrived damaged so we would like for this table to be replaced. We are very upset that we are not getting any concrete responses from them as to how this is going to be handled. She told me something new today, " If it was damaged when brought in, we should have sent it back immediately! Instead we didnt, so now we have to go through this procedure. It has nothing to do with Bernhardt, it is Boyles procedure!" I explained to her that when we showed the damage to the Boyles delivery person on arrival, he told us to call it in. He did not take the stuff back. He said that we have 72 hrs to check each and every piece, call it in and they can pick it all up at the same time. They usually handle things like this very well through their award winning customer service. (not for me atleast) So a piece of advice to you all, please dont bother trying to make notes of all damage and resolve things over the phone.. just return damaged stuff immediately!! It will save you a lot of headache. I explained to her about the damaged veneer and that it cannot be repaired, must be replaced, so I dont understand why there should be a doubt even for the manufacturers restorer to have a look at it. She then admitted that even the report from the representative who visited our house said that this CANNOT be repaired. Then she tells me that there might be a posssibility that the table might be replaced. Then I told her, that that was all I was looking for from the beginning instead of all this headache and having to take time off from work for their rep to visit and wait on their reports and stuff and still no concrete responses, and I would have greatly appreciated her telling me this up front instead of going round and round. Then, get this, here is what she told me: She said that she did tell me this upfront (liar, never uttered the word replacement at all) but since I dont listen carefully enough I didnt catch it!!! That was it. I lost my mind on her. I gave her a piece of my mind, all the steam just came out.. and in the end, she told me I have attitude, refused to put me in touch with her manager and then told me that she will have her manager call me back. This was two hours ago. Still havent heard back. What a nightmare! Pls. learn from this. No one should have to go through this. It...See MoreLG complaints!

Comments (0)I have a GE dishwasher that I've had for about 5 years. I started noticing damage to the wood cabinet to the side of the dishwasher and found that after it runs (usually the speed setting with no heated dry) condensation is building up at underneath the granite counter and on the top of the dishwasher door. This is running down the side and damaging the cabinet. I've always noticed water droplets on the outside of the door after running, but didn't realize this was a problem until I saw the cabinets. Any ideas? I am thinking it could have possibly been installed improperly. I called GE and they told me that shouldn't be happening and to make an appointment with an authorized repair person. I called a repair person and he was basically telling me that this happens sometimes and just live with it. I don't want to have to replace the cabinet when it really gets damaged. Any ideas on what could be causing this or solutions?...See Morecarolyn_ky
