Comments (11)Is the yellow area stucco? If so I would paint it and the foundation Ralph Lauren Burlap, it’s a neutral taupe that’s looks like raw stucco, tying those elements together and to the brick. All the wood trim (fascia, soffit, windows, columns, etc) get one color- olive would be my first choice but linen white would be nice too especially if you want the navy door....See MoreExterior design help please!
Comments (35)A Colonial Revival with 3 gables in the early colonial Post-medieval English tradition (like the existing house) might look like this: The pitch of the gables would be at least 12 in 12 with ridges aligning with the existing main roof and the rakes would be "close" with copper eaves, gutters and entrance porch roof. (see earlier photo) The lower windows could be wide bays or a row of windows and don't need to be the same. You could omit the center gable and add some windows to the middle part of the second floor. The windows would need to shift to accommodate the interior layout. Worry about the trim, siding and color after the shell is designed. I would still do a 3D model....See MorePLEASE Help with our exterior window design?

Where the 3 roofs come together is a hot mess and needs to be studied with a 3D model. I would eliminate the clipped gable on the left side. The roof looks like a very late afterthought....See Morekennadysmama
