Second Story Windows

My family will be buying my in-laws home in a year, so we are working on renovation plans.
Currently the upstairs has two bedrooms. The walls on the front and back of the rooms slope in at the top (following the gable roofline).
The windows then on the front, are just barely off the floor and only go up the straight part of the wall, making it impossible to look out unless you are sitting or bending over. (picture of front of house attached)
I can't figure how to change this to have normal windows that look right inside and outside.

The second photo is the only idea I have found that looks like it would maybe work, but I'm not sure how extensive that would be or what it would look like inside.
